Keeping Your Senior Dog Fit and Active
OTCH KAFFEE is my now (January 2020) 15 year old senior dog. Kaffee is a Border Collie weighing 50 pounds for most of his life. I have been blessed that he has been healthy and extremely active for most of his life other than a one time agility injury and iliosoas (see my blog). We have participate in many fun dog sports: herding, obedience, agility and lots of lovely hikes all over Arizona, California or where ever we traveled.
When Kaffee was younger we did fun snow play with snowshoeing and romping in the snow. Our life has been very active and very special. Kaffee truly was my best friend in all these endeavors and adventures. Sadly Kaffee is nearing the end of his life and our activities have been reduced to very short walks on our paved street. This page shows some of the ways that Kaffee helped to stay sound, healthy and structurally strong... with balance discs.
